24.01.2000. AIR BOSNA BECOMES NEW AIRBUS CUSTOMER Air Bosna, the national carrier of the Bosnia and Herzegovina, has signed a contract covering the purchase of two Airbus Industrie single-aisle A319 plus two options.Delivery of the firmly ordered aircraft is scheduled for 2003.The A319,wich is part of the most modern and most profitable airplane in the world was selected by Air Bosna for its unrivalled operational economics and pasanger comfort.It will enable the Sarajevo based carrier to successfully continue the development of its European network,as well participating in the reconstruction and modernization of the country's air transport system."The fact that A320 family is widely operated by major European airlines and in the region will facilitate our cooperation,both technically and commericially,with other airlines"says Air Bosna's General Director Omer Kulic.Powered by CFM International CFM56-5 engines,Air Bosna's A319 will each accommodate to 132 passangers in a two-class configuration. |
