Air Bosna gets new nama and
livery.Airlines new name is BH Airlines and new livery:
This just in:BH Airlines has chosen livery number 2, with changes in
name of aircraft, instead of City of Sarajevo and City of Mostar,only
name Sarajevo and Mostar will appear on AC.

24/01/05/BH Air Traffic Management System modernization
|
Europen Bank
for Reconstruction and Development(EBRD) has opened a tender for a
comprehensive
modernization of the ATM system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The proposed
project
entails purchase of air navigation, communication and meteorological
equipment,
software and training services to support the establishment of a new
Air
Navigation Services Provider which would take over the control of the
intermediate and lower air space in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). The
project
will be implemented by the Directorate for Civil Aviation of Bosnia and
Herzegovina (BHDCA). The project will assist BiH in meeting its
obligations
arising from its membership of various international organizations
(ICAO, IATA,
ECAC, EUROCONTROL) and handling air traffic in a safe and efficient
manner. It
will also support BiH’s participation in the Central European Air
Traffic
Services Agreement (CEATS). The project will support the separation of
the
regulatory and oversight function, to be retained by BHDCA, from the
service
provision function, to be undertaken by the newly established Air
Navigation
Services Provider (BHANSP).Backed by a euro 12 million EBRD loan total
costs
for project are estimated to be euro 14.4 million. |

At its today's session in Mostar
the Federation
BH Government has passed decision on “Federal Government Passenger
Tax”.The
tax of 20 Bosnian marks (10 euro) should be paid by every passenger
leaving
airports in FBH ( airports Sarajevo, Mostar and Tuzla ) on any regular
or
charter flight. The money collected is going to be used for development
of
civil aviation sector in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, mainly
for Air
Bosnia. |
24/01/05/Government on rehabilitating "Air Bosnia"
|
At its
today's session in Mostar the Federation BH
Government has passed several decisions aimed at rehabilitating the
Public Enterprise "Air Bosnia" Sarajevo - the Federation BiH Government
Public Relations Office reports. At this session it was stressed once
again that this important
state carrier should be given all assistance within the legal framework
in order to create preconditions for it to continue its operations. |
20/01/05/Air Bosna to get two ATR-72's
|
Air
Bosna has signed contract with ATR to purchase two ATR-72's. Both
aircraft(MSN 464 and 465) were build 1995 and were flown by Delta
Connection in
USA. First aircraft is going to be delivered in April second one by end
of the
June. ATR has agreed to train Bosnian pilots and crew(total 7
crews) for
this type of aircraft. First group of pilots will leave Sarajevo later
this
month followed by second group in February.Last week government of
Federation
of Bosnia and Herzegovina has approved budget for 2005 with 1,6 mil KM
(800.000
euro) for Air Bosna.

2004 rose by 18,0% in relation to same period of last
year.Number of passengers in November is 26.650, increase by 21,6%.

From June
2005, Fly Bosnia will aim to offer two flights a week from the United
States via Manchester and London Gatwick to Sarajevo to meet high

flights to Sarajevo. Fly Bosnia will offer unrivalled flexibility and
very competitive fares to Sarajevo. Flights to Sarajevo will include a

Bosnia leases Boeing 737s‚ aircraft from a company that operates a

to bring Air Bosna back to life
|
The
government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has decided to
accept a concept to bring Air Bosna back to life.The Air Bosna
restruction plan was made by team of six aviation
industry experts and representatives of the Federal Ministry of
Transport and Communications.A brief statement issued by the FBH
government saiys the expert team has presented an acceptable plan for
the airline to purchase aircraft through financial leasing
agreements.Earlier this year, Hypo Alpe Adria Bank offered a five
million euro-loan to Air Bosna and the Government of FBIH for aircraft
purchases and leases. |
